History and Tradition in Henry County

Jim Mills Lincoln, Mercury, Nissan represents years of tradition, developed locally for the past 50 years.  Starting in 1959, Jim Mills began his career in auto sales in Bassett, selling for Chevrolet.  By 1970, he was able to open his own sales and service center in Collinsville, called Diamond Motors.  In 1973, after selling Diamond Motors, Jim Mills opened AMC Auto Center in Martinsville, selling and servicing AMC and Jeep products, and adding Pontiac products by 1978.  The Jim Mills tradition continued, when in 1982, he added Jeb Stuart Ford-Mercury to his business, located in Stuart.  Growing quickly, he then sold both the AMC facility and Jeb Stuart Ford, to return exclusively to Henry County in 1985 with his first Lincoln-Mercury dealership, on Route 220 in Bassett Forks.  He added Chrysler Jeep to the log cabin facility, and remained there for 20 years, until 2005, when he sold the facility.

Today, Jim Mills Lincoln-Mercury resides in the renovated, modernized Lowe’s building across from the Race Track in Ridgeway, with his new Nissan showroom right next door.  These ultra modern, state of the art dealership and service centers represent 50 years of integrity, experience, and commitment to the local community.  Many of Jim Mill’s technicians and employees have been with his business for many years, a credit to his honesty and fairness.  Likewise, Jim Mills has loyal customers, who recognize the high standards of service and integrity that are his business tradition and legacy in Henry County.  Jim Mills Lincoln-Mercury and Nissan are proud to continue to serve the Martinsville Henry County community and the surrounding areas, and to provide the uncompromising quality and service that his customers expect.
